Coffey County commissioners voted to authorize and direct the chairman to sign Pay Application No. 4 to Kilo Construction for $239,629.32 for work on the SSM airport access road, paid from the community improvement fund.

A Kilo representative, Jed, said Skillman finished backfilling and paving work and the project team expects to complete top lifts in spring when weather permits. The board discussed change-order items related to drainage and agreed to have contractor and engineers present at a future meeting to explain the need for new ditches and any associated change orders.

The motion to approve payment was moved, seconded and carried unanimously by voice vote.
