Morgantown council clears consent agenda including zoning changes, airport leases and vacant-structure exemption

MORGANTOWN — On Dec. 16 the Morgantown City Council approved its consent agenda, which included several second-reading zoning ordinances, two airport office leases and an order granting a vacant-structure exemption.
Items approved on the consent agenda included: a second reading to reclassify two parcels on Van Gilder Street from R-1 (single-family residential) to R-2 (single- and two-family residential); a second reading to reclassify one parcel on Height Street similarly; second readings for office-space leases at Morgantown Airport (one listed as Paul Kuntz/Kunts and another with Greg Murray) and an order granting a vacant-structure exemption for 71 Donnelly Street.
Council allowed members to pull items for separate consideration but none were pulled. The clerk conducted a recorded roll call and the consent agenda passed 7–0.
What’s next: Items that require further review will return if a council member or member of the public requests removal from consent; otherwise the approved ordinances and orders will proceed according to municipal implementation processes.
