At the Nov. 25 meeting, Doug from Inframark summarized water and wastewater operations and identified several maintenance issues and mitigation steps.
Key operational notes included continued tours and outreach, nutrient-credit sales totaling $18,558 this year, and fiscal front‑loading of December expenses that produced a monthly overage. On operations, Inframark reported high total dissolved solids in quarterly testing traced to mineral buildup in an underground rinse/drain line that reduced flow; staff installed a temporary above‑ground drain line to restore rinsing in the nitrate‑removal units while Emtek performs an analysis to guide a permanent repair. Inframark also reported two recent pump/well incidents—replacement motor on a backup high‑service pump received and scheduled installation; well 4 failed and cole Brothers will diagnose and advise on repair or replacement tomorrow.
Council discussed potential repair costs and accepted the October water and wastewater report by voice vote. Inframark said follow-up sampling will occur in early next month to measure the temporary solution’s effectiveness.
