Lititz Borough Council voted Nov. 25 to accept the resignation of Councilmember Christine Sensenig, effective Oct. 30, and to appoint Brad Bergman to fill the Ward 3 seat for the remainder of the term.
Council adopted Resolution 1011 to make the temporary appointment. After the motion and second, the council approved the resolution by voice vote. Bergman was sworn in at the meeting and recited an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of this Commonwealth” and to discharge the duties of councilperson faithfully.
The appointment fills the short-term vacancy through the end of the calendar year; council members welcomed Bergman to the dais and noted he will serve until the new term begins in January.
