Mike Backer said the foundation has existed for more than 30 years and summarized recent giving: last year the foundation funded 14 projects and distributed approximately $24,000 in grants and scholarships. He described an aspirational goal to increase fundraising this year and noted the foundation’s visibility at community events such as the Scarecrow Fest.
Board members thanked the foundation representatives for their work and noted the foundation’s role in supporting students and staff. Superintendent Gordon highlighted the district’s appreciation for renewed collaboration and said the foundation’s advisory engagement with parent and staff groups has been constructive.
The board received the presentation with no formal action taken; foundation leaders said they will continue outreach and fundraising to support district priorities.
