The Marysville Exempted Village School District Board of Education approved multiple routine business items on its Dec. 11 agenda, including adjustments to IT/technology salary bands and bundled treasurer and superintendent consent items.
Board members moved and seconded approval of the agenda items and then voted by roll call to approve the draft minutes from the Nov. 20 meeting and the IT salary-band adjustments. A board member explained the salary-band change as intended to keep pay competitive and retain experienced technology staff; "the school district can't function without good competent people," one member said.
The board also approved treasurer/CFO consent items, which included several teacher grant awards, and approved superintendent action items comprising standing HR items, a volunteer listing of 36 individuals, approval of coursework and fees for Early College High School and Marysville High School, intern placements and overnight trip requests for robotics teams and Early College students.
All consent votes were recorded by roll call and carried. No amendments or defeats were recorded in the meeting minutes.
