Cheektowaga hears plan for 1-acre battery storage project on 3695 Broadway

At the Nov. 25 Town of Cheektowaga Board meeting, attorney Peter Sorgy and a representative of AC Power outlined plans for a battery energy storage system (BESS) to occupy about 1 acre of a 7-acre brownfield at 3695 Broadway.
"This is a 7 acre site...we are only going to occupy about 1 acre of the entire 7 acre site," said Kinshuk, the AC Power representative, describing a preliminary site footprint the company says was chosen in consultation with remedial engineers.
