"Since August, we've recovered 458 days, and to date that's nearly 70% of all days that have been identified in the contracts," the staff member said.
Staff credited attendance clerks, counselors, teachers and administrators with helping move the program forward and said many open contracts are recent and still in progress; they expect to record additional completed days as those contracts update. The presentation stressed that the program is intended to support students who cannot be physically present and to improve average daily attendance (ADA) metrics.
Board members acknowledged the report and expressed appreciation for staff work; no formal action was taken on the independent-study update during this meeting. The topic will remain on staff reporting schedules, and additional data about related services (Logan Center and daybreak services) was previewed for a January update.
