The board was told that all four firms submitted documentation under the city's responsible bidder ordinance and were approved for the city's bidder list by DeMarcus Briscoe, identified in the meeting as the city’s code enforcement manager.
After the bids were read, a board member moved to hold the bids over for review at the next meeting; a second was given and the motion carried by voice vote. No formal award or ranking was made at the Dec. 3 meeting.
The board's decision to hold the bids preserves time for staff review of the proposals and any required follow-up on alternates, schedules and references before any contract award can be placed on a future agenda.
