City staff presented an informational review of the Oct. 31, 2025 Halloween festival held at the Los Cerritos Center parking lot and recommended the commission receive and file the report.
The presentation said about 4,500 people attended, six carnival‑style rides were featured, local food trucks were present and community organizations hosted free game booths and crafts. The Billy Bonkers Magic and Comedy Show was the evening’s featured entertainment and children’s costume parades and family photo areas were popular, staff reported.
The event was described as well‑received, and staff recommended the commission accept and file the informational review. A commissioner who attended called the event "well run" and noted parents felt it was safer than being at the park. The commission later voted to accept and file the report.
Staff said the festival continues as a partnership with the Los Cerritos Center and that proceeds and community participation will guide planning for future events.
