Parks staff reported two recent accidents that damaged fencing at the cemetery — one at the curb by the mausoleum and another on Cemetery Drive — and said they are seeking estimates from fencing companies to repair the damage.
Diana (parks staff) said her usual practice is to keep spare fence panels in storage but that this incident involved damage through a bollard that required additional repair work. She said the department ordered equipment that “was purchased for $10,296.30 with the trade in of $500 payout” and confirmed staffing plans, with one staff member scheduled four days a week and occasional extra help as needed.
The parks report also noted community donations for holiday decorations (Beth Rippy donated a piece for the park) and ongoing monitoring of holiday lights. Staff described plans to move an electrical outlet in the Splash Pad building to reduce flood risk and said they are preparing next season’s concert series.
