The Streator City Council voted to appropriate $210,000 of motor fuel tax (MFT) funds for roadway maintenance under the Illinois Highway Code.
The presiding official described Resolution 2025-49 as the annual appropriation of MFT funds that will cover purchases such as salt, oil and chip material, stone, and gravel for street maintenance. The presenter said the appropriation was included in the approved fiscal year 2026 budget.
