Millersville University representatives told the borough council the university will be closed for the Thanksgiving break beginning Nov. 26 and reopening Dec. 1, and that the semester and commencement will conclude Dec. 13, with graduation at 2 p.m. in Priscilla Gymnasium.
Miss Norman highlighted finals week (Dec. 9–13), dorm checkouts and anticipated traffic near campus, and encouraged support for university performances. She announced a first annual Fringe Festival planned for May 2026 in downtown Lancaster, credited to Dr. Caleb Corkery, and noted an international internship program in which four special-education majors traveled to Saint John, New Brunswick, to assist families.
Additional items included a WEAR Center presentation on Nov. 5 of a National Geographic–related film and seasonal events Dec. 5–7, such as a community Santa visit and performing-arts showcases. The university asked the public to expect increased traffic during finals and commencement.
Council thanked the university representative for the update.
