The Auburn School Committee elected Pamela Albert chair and Corinne McWiggin vice chair during its Dec. 17 reorganizational meeting.
Nominations opened for chair, with an attendee stating, "I would like to nominate Pamela Albert." After nominations were closed, the chair called for a voice/hand vote; the chair announced Pamela Albert elected with no opposition reported. Chair Albert then opened nominations for vice chair; Jay Rich nominated Corinne McWiggin and, after votes were tallied, the chair announced Corinne elected vice chair.
The committee also approved the consent agenda, which included approval of the minutes of its Dec. 3, 2025 meeting. The chair stated "Motion carries." Student representative Calvin Vincent offered holiday greetings and noted there were two days left of school before the break.
The committee proceeded with routine reorganization business and housekeeping, and the chair thanked the Walton Chorus for a pre-meeting performance. The meeting adjourned at 6:28 p.m.
What happens next: The committee's next regular meeting is scheduled for Jan. 7 at 6 p.m.; the chair expects to circulate dates for boardsmanship workshops in January.
