School committee asks administration for report on online safety and AI instruction

Committee members and the mayor voiced support, noting social media and AI present a new layer of risk beyond earlier 24/7 cyberbullying concerns. Administration said it would prepare a lay‑of‑the‑land report showing what content and supports are already in place and how to incorporate media literacy for students, staff, and families. The motion passed on a roll call vote.
