Toby Farms school sets modest proficiency and attendance targets in Nov. presentation

For math, the plan set a 6% proficiency target and a 15% i‑Ready math stretch goal. Burrell described schedule adjustments, an expectation that core educators implement small‑group instruction with fidelity (measured four times per week), and a protocol to ensure at least 75% of learners use I‑Ready instruction 30–50 minutes per week.
Attendance and behavior targets included raising regular attendance to 57% by June 30 and reducing suspensions related to physical aggression and threats by 10% month‑over‑month compared with the same month the prior year. Burrell described tier‑2 social‑skills groups for students with multiple referrals, climate managers to coordinate interventions, PBIS fidelity targets, and trackers the school will use to document progress.
Why it matters: The presentation translates district‑level recovery planning into school‑level, measurable targets and intervention plans. Burrell said the school has data collection and tracking in place and will report back on progress at subsequent POC meetings.
Questions from the board included enrollment clarifications; Burrell said Toby Farms serves about 363 students, a number she said can fluctuate.
