Staff described potential next steps to partner with Texas Tech K‑12 Virtual School as a thought partner for a district virtual program (distinct from establishing a standalone virtual school). Leaders cautioned that a virtual program will require additional development, communications resources and operational planning; the district suggested a late‑spring communications launch if plans move forward.
Trustees discussed the potential to use Clearlink to fill course gaps at campuses (e.g., uncommon world language courses) and to support students who need flexible schedules.
What's next: staff said they will continue development work with partners and return with specifics on program scope, grade bands and launch timing.
