"We just have some concerns about the state of the varsity field," he said, listing infield and outfield condition, fences, uneven terrain, dugout condition and lack of restroom facilities and accessibility for female and visiting athletes. He said some recent work by the district has addressed a few issues, but urged continued attention so progress does not stall.
Polak also compared the varsity facility to the better-maintained Simon Field and said he believed visibility and location were contributing factors to differences in maintenance. He concluded by thanking the board for listening and said the booster club is willing to help where appropriate.
