Legal staff said bylaws can be amended at any time and offered options: adopt a verbal amendment or defer for staff to draft language.
A committee member moved and another seconded to defer the bylaws amendment agenda item; the committee voted in favor to defer the item to a later meeting. Staff will draft suggested language for members to review at a future meeting.
Committee staff reminded members that the audit office annually places bylaws review on the agenda as a standing item and that staff review the bylaws in light of audit practices each year.
The committee then received administrative updates on audit recommendations, project status, budget and staffing before adjourning the public meeting and moving into executive session.
