Commissioners add $3.31 million opioid grant awards to agenda and approve omnibus package; retirement board keeps 4% interest and approves buyback

Madam President thanked planning commission members for administering the open land space preservation program and the Marcellus Shale legacy funding and said allocations related to those programs would be discussed in greater detail at the board's January meeting.
In separate Salary Board and Retirement Board sessions, members approved routine minutes and personnel items. The Retirement Board approved adding vested individuals to the monthly annuity payment list and voted to retain the annual interest rate of 4% on individual employee contributions for 2026 after correcting a typographical year error in the record. The Retirement Board also approved a buyback of nonintervening military service for prison employee Perry Fisher covering 01/06/1994 to 01/05/1995 for a total purchase amount of $11,530.22 (county portion $5,765.11; member portion $5,765.11).
