Lewisburg — The Mayor and Council of the City of Lewisburg on Dec. 9 approved a traffic-signal timing change to synchronize left-turn signals at North Ellington Parkway and Verona Avenue and to add five additional seconds to left-turn signal timing.
Staff presented the proposal and the motion was moved and seconded in council. A procedural check occurred to confirm who moved and who seconded; council then conducted a roll-call vote and recorded unanimous 'Aye' votes from members present.
The change is intended to improve left-turn operations and was approved without recorded conditions or amendments. Implementation will be carried out by the city's traffic/engineering staff according to departmental scheduling and available contractor/plant windows.
