District previews 2026 capital projects: parking, sidewalks, millings and trail connections

Staff noted wetlands and cost estimates shaped design decisions and that some concepts originally considered (a southern pickup lane) were dropped due to cost and wetland impacts.
All drawings were presented as concepts; staff said bids and firm cost estimates will determine which projects proceed and whether to use bond dollars, sinking‑fund money or fund balance. The board asked for additional detail on sidewalk alignment and trail connections; staff said the proposed paths would link to existing 17‑mile trail segments but some road crossings would remain.
No formal action was taken; staff will return with bid estimates and prioritization for board direction.
