Students and staff recognized at Cinnaminson board meeting; music, athletics and service highlighted

Student representatives from Cinnaminson High School and the middle school detailed recent student achievements, athletics rosters and community service projects during the board meeting.
High school student representative Carly Trompay noted students of the month for multiple grade levels, announced boys and girls basketball captains, reported that boys wrestling opened the season at the Blue Devil Classic and that the newly formed girls wrestling team will compete on Dec. 18. Trompay also reported DECA’s Toys for Tots drive collected 90 toys and that the high school raised $425 for a fundraiser benefiting the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Middle-school representative Matthew Kenny shared student-of-the-month and teacher-of-the-month recognitions, noted 42 seniors and a number of juniors inducted into the National Honor Society, and described student club outreach such as the Unity Club visit to the 9/11 Memorial Museum and an upcoming holiday breakfast for senior citizens.
Superintendent Coppello recognized educators of the year across schools and formally thanked board members Eileen and Kate Bleistein for their service. The board closed the meeting with seasonal greetings and reminders about holiday events and the upcoming January meetings.
