Bethel Park SD board hears construction update, approves change order tied to underground spring

According to the construction update, crews found an underground spring while preparing to pave a portion of the loop, so "we installed some drain tile to control the water and channel it to the proper location on the other side of the road and into the wetlands area," the staff member said, adding that the work uses a unit cost already included in the contract.
Facilities committee chair moved the change order (listed as GC-44, Lower Bus Loop under drain); Mr. Modrak moved the motion and Mr. Scauzo seconded it. Voting was recorded as 8'0yes, 0'no. The staff member said the team will continue to monitor weather for rooftop lifts and hopes to meet the scheduled occupancy timeline.
