Councilwoman Manuka moved to amend the resolution to specify the funds would be sought to hire congregate-meal staff and a pickleball program instructor; the motion carried on roll call.
The amended resolution authorizes staff to file the application and pursue up to $10,000 in grant funding to hire staff and a program instructor. Council members said the funds would cover personnel costs rather than an immediate expansion of meal service; volunteers currently support the program and the grant would allow paid staff to support and stabilize the service.
