The City of Muskogee approved a cooperative agreement on Nov. 24 providing the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame $60,000 for cultural and tourism development for fiscal year 2025–26, plus a one‑time allotment of $15,000 for building maintenance.
A Hall of Fame representative said the organization has been out of its building for nine months and expects to return in about three months following repairs. The representative described plans to work with state marketing teams to increase tourism and visibility for Muskogee, and thanked the city for continued support. “It seems like the phrase that comes to mind for me for our current position of the hall of fame has to do with, boy, it’s been growing pains this year,” the presenter said.
Staff recommended approval and council voted in favor by roll call. The cooperative agreement is recorded in the council packet and will be executed by city staff.
Vote and action: Council approved the cooperative agreement and the one‑time maintenance allotment; roll call recorded approval.
