Personnel actions approved included resignations and hires: resignations — Kathy Ellis (cafeteria worker), Kristen Apple (building monitor), Hope Doubt (custodian, effective 10/21/2025), and Nancy Flood (cafeteria general worker, effective 11/14/2025); hires — Jennifer Kumston as a paraprofessional at $18 per hour (effective 11/03/2025, pending clearances), Georgia Wall as a full-time second-shift flex custodian (effective 10/27/2025), and Courtney Slizak as a building monitor (effective 10/31/2025). The board also approved intermittent FMLA requests and an extended unpaid leave and a maternity leave timeline for identified employee IDs as listed in the personnel attachment.
In procurement, the board awarded the Central Valley Middle School dishwasher replacement contract to Curran Taylor Incorporated for $52,121.37. Funding for the dishwasher purchase will come from the food-service fund (attachment N). Finance also authorized the administration, with solicitor review, to proceed with capital-project items that fall within the district’s established flow and budget to enable timely planning and execution of summer 2026 construction projects.
All personnel and procurement motions were moved, seconded and approved by voice votes as recorded in the meeting.
