Galena — At its Nov. 24 meeting, the Galena City Council approved payment of the presented warrants and received the monthly water and sewer operations and maintenance report from US Water.
Andrew, representing US Water, reviewed operations for the reporting period (Sept. 22–Oct. 21), reporting approximately 14,600,000 gallons of water production and about 16,100,000 gallons of wastewater flow; he said the '71% build' metric matched the prior month and that the figures were consistent overall. Council asked clarifying questions about nonrevenue water and specific mains; the US Water representative said the values were comparable to last month's figures and stood ready to answer follow‑up questions.
The council moved to pay the warrants as presented and carried the motion by roll call.
