Board reports closed-session selections for aging-and-disabilities director and interim inspector general

After convening in closed session on Dec. 16, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors reported that it selected final candidates for two county leadership positions.
The executive officer said the board selected a final candidate for the position of director of the Aging and Disabilities Department and "instructed the acting chief executive officer to negotiate and execute an at‑will employment contract, which is approved as a form by the county counsel." The board reported the vote as unanimous with all supervisors present except Supervisor Horvath.
The board also selected a final candidate for the position of interim inspector general; that selection likewise was reported as unanimous with Supervisor Horvath absent. On the labor negotiators item (CS‑9) the board reported no reportable action.
No candidate names were disclosed in the public report of action.
The selections were reported in open session by the executive officer after closed session concluded.
