Palatka CRA approves Phase 1 South Historic District landscaping by 4 Seasons

The CRA approved a Phase 1 streetscaping contract with 4 Seasons Lawn and Landscaping on Dec. 8 to add trees and shrubs in the South Historic District.
Planning staff introduced Shane Ellison of 4 Seasons, and described the scope: installation of 40 15-gallon live oak trees and 65 15-gallon Dahoon hollies along Oak and Laurel corridors. The $16,450 price includes installation, mulching and a one-year watering commitment from the contractor to improve establishment success.
Staff noted species selection will depend on overhead utilities (Dahoon holly where utilities interfere; live oak where appropriate). The board moved, seconded and voted to approve the first phase of the proposal.
What’s next: Staff and the contractor will finalize planting locations, coordinate with utilities and begin installation under the agreed scope and maintenance commitment.
