Mayville council selects CivicPlus for new municipal website and bundled agenda software

Staff noted that CivicPlus offered a bundled deal that would include one free year of agenda software and delay recurring costs until 2027, with an estimated 2027 support cost of about $5,800 per year.
Council members discussed their difficulties with the current eScribe agenda system — including browser and access issues — and favored a vendor familiar to neighboring municipalities. Staff said CivicPlus provides a board portal and a public portal, and highlighted a BOGO offer and the possibility the CDA would cover initial costs.
One council member moved to select CivicPlus with the bundled agenda module. The motion was seconded and passed on a voice vote.
Staff said Revise offers more customization and a free redesign in year five if needed, but CivicPlus’s shorter project timeline (10–12 weeks vs. 21–27 weeks for Revise) and perceived ease of use for local officials and the public were deciding factors.
