Resident Gary Bach spoke from the floor, asking whether the governing board should be notified earlier than the final day of a 60‑day suspension (for example 10 days before expiration) to avoid last‑minute extension requests; staff and the GM said operationally that although requests could be made late, the 15‑day hearing requirement provides due process and that, in practice, requests would typically be conveyed well before the final day.
The board carried the motion by roll-call vote. The revised M02 policy now documents the 60‑day initial period and the 15‑day hearing timeline for extensions; staff said the language is intended to make reinstatement dependent on good standing (payment of dues) as well as the end of any suspension.
