Commission approves three-year contract for transportation program manager Michael Burns

The Antiochia Planning and Economic Development Commission voted Dec. 15 to approve contract terms for transportation program manager Michael Burns and authorized the chair to sign the agreement. The action followed an executive session the commission held to discuss negotiation strategy and personnel terms.

Chair Abby Demolino summarized the executive-session discussion for the public when the meeting reconvened, saying the session had covered contract terms, authorization of employment and the chair’s authority to execute the agreement. The chair asked for a motion to approve the contract “as provided and discussed in the executive session.” A motion was made by Mike and seconded by Matt; roll-call votes recorded multiple “Aye” responses and the motion passed.

Commissioners in open session expressed appreciation for Burns’ work and attendance at meetings outside normal work hours. The chair described the approved contract as a three-year agreement; the commission authorized the chair to sign on the town’s behalf.
