Tri Valley Haven praises Livermore support as shelter rebuild continues, urges donations and volunteers

Dillman summarized the agency’s work and reach: Tri Valley Haven "creates homes safe from abuse" and serves survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, people experiencing homelessness and those living in poverty. She said the organization employs about 47 staff, operates seven sites, and has roughly 100 regular volunteers.
The organization also operates a client‑choice food pantry designed to preserve dignity for participants; Dillman said the number of families using the pantry rose about 20% in 2024 compared with the prior year. She credited partnerships with local organizations for helping place families into permanent housing, naming the Livermore Housing Authority and several nonprofit partners, including Open Heart Kitchen, CityServe and Access Community Health.
Dillman urged the public to support Tri Valley Haven through monetary donations, volunteer time and in‑kind gifts for the agency thrift store. She also reminded listeners that Tri Valley Haven operates a 24‑hour domestic violence and sexual‑assault crisis hotline answered by trained advocates around the clock and provided the organization’s website for more information.
She noted that the organization was nominated as the 2024 Nonprofit of the Year by Senator Steve Glazer, and she closed by thanking Livermore and the community for their ongoing support.
