A staff presenter summarized the Truesdale Avenue scope — roundabouts, street realignment and stormwater upgrades — and said the majority of the project was paid with American Rescue Plan funds and a contribution from the Health Foundation of La Porte. He told the commission the outstanding balance was "$684,270.30" and that the amount had been anticipated in the city budget; the final bill had only recently been received and dated Dec. 5.
Commissioners asked clarifying questions, including who the invoice was payable to; Reese Riley was named as the vendor. A motion to approve payment of the remaining Truesdale Avenue bill was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Staff characterized the action as a wrap-up step on a multi-part project that also included improvements on Marquette Alley and Darlington Street. No additional appropriations were requested at the meeting; staff said the expense fit within previously planned budget allocations.
