The Crow Wing County Board on Dec. 16 approved the preliminary plat for Trailside Preserve, a proposed 21-lot subdivision on about 23 acres near Gilbert Lake Road, after a lengthy public hearing marked by strong resident opposition over traffic, emergency access and drainage.
Chris, a county planning staffer, told the board the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment recommended approval and that staff had updated the plat to reflect highway-department comments on driveway approaches.
