The commission approved the minutes from the November meeting and the Dec. 2 special meeting by voice vote. It granted continuances for two public hearings — the Water Street matter and the Main Street site plan — both moved to Jan. 21, 2026 at the applicants’ requests.
The commission approved two bond releases after staff and the city engineer inspected the work: a Phase 1 release for SPP 1051333 (project at Tappalocca/Tackoacam Road) in the amount of $89,300 and a $2,250 performance bond release for 307 Washington Street. Both bond releases were moved, seconded and carried with recorded aye votes.
Staff reported a subdivision appeal had been filed in a separate matter; the planning department is also beginning its budget process for the coming fiscal year and is recruiting for the head building official position following a departure. The meeting adjourned after those items.
