HCEDC rescinds Oct. 15 minutes and names three-member playground committee for Nance and Community Park

A board member moved to rescind the original approval and to approve the corrected Oct. 15 minutes along with the Nov. 19 minutes as part of the consent agenda; another member seconded the motion and the chair called for a vote. (The motion was acted on by the board as part of its consent process at the meeting.)
On playground equipment, the board discussed Resolution (as referenced in the packet) regarding replacement of playground equipment at Nance Field and Community Park. The chair and staff clarified that City Council approved funding for playground equipment but that a separate City Council agenda item remains for the parking-lot surfacing at Nance Field. HCEDC's role is to nominate three HCEDC members to a parks playground committee to coordinate the project.
Leah, Laura and Kitty were nominated to serve on the park playground committee after speaker 5 moved and speaker 7 seconded the nominations. Chair called for a vote and the motion passed unanimously.
Board members also confirmed the committee is limited to three HCEDC members to avoid quorum issues and that council-level approval of funding is handled separately by the City Council.
