Contractor: jail construction on schedule as metal cell panels arrive

Samuels Group reported masonry nearing completion, the main generator ATS arrived and detention-grade metal wall panels for cells were delivered and installation began, keeping the jail project on track for its near-term schedule.
Jeff Curtis of the Samuels Group told the Page County supervisors that work on the county jail is progressing and that several trades are coordinating to keep the schedule. "Masons continue to work in the remaining masonry walls... The last piece to the main generator component, which is the last ATS, arrived on-site yesterday," Curtis said, and he added that detention metal wall panels for the cells were on-site and installation had started.
Curtis described the work sequence: masonry and drywall top-out to allow electricians to finish low-voltage conduit, HVAC duct and VAV box installs, plumbing rough-ins and then installation of detention-grade fixtures and security ceilings. He invited board members to tour the site and said the schedule was trending toward the planned milestones.
Board members asked a few clarifying questions and thanked the contractor for the update. The judges and project team will continue routine project oversight and inspections.
Next steps: contractor to continue installs and coordinate inspections and trade sequencing ahead of finishing and punch-list work.
