The Cumberland Town Council on Nov. 24 granted a liquor license to Social Goose Sports Pub for a new location at 319 Main Street.
Cat Hull, co-owner, told the council the business will keep its Brunswick location and does not plan to extend hours beyond the Town Center District closing time. Town Planner Bridget Perry noted the Town Center District limits seating and that any outdoor seating or changes to capacity would require a planning-board site-plan amendment.
Councilors expressed a welcome to the business and asked staff to ensure application attachments (menus, floor plans) are included in future packets for completeness. Councilor (speaker 4) moved to approve the liquor-license application; the motion was seconded and the council voted unanimously.
Staff said the license aligns with current regulations and that the applicant has agreed to operate within the town’s hours in the Town Center District.
