Agoura Hills council unanimously swears in Jeremy Wolf as mayor; new leader frames year around 'resilience'

Supervisor Lindsey Horvath administered the oath of office to Wolf and to Deborah Klein Lopez after the council voted to appoint Klein Lopez as mayor pro tem in a separate unanimous vote.
In his first remarks as mayor, Wolf thanked outgoing Mayor Penny Sylvester and others who supported him and said he intends to lead the city with a focus on "resilience." "Resilience is about adapting to change without losing who we are," he said, laying out priorities that include strengthening wildfire preparedness and home-hardening programs, working with small businesses to promote local economic stability, and protecting wildlife and open space.
Wolf also addressed upcoming state-imposed housing requirements that he described as "one of the most significant changes in decades," and said Agoura Hills will respond "the Agoura Hills way, thoughtfully, transparently, and with residents at the center of every single decision we make." He pledged honest conversations about what the city can and cannot control.
