"The guys love it," the sheriff said, calling the platform "a nice addition" that helps evidence handling and reduces upload delays.
She also briefed the board on jail operations: the jail recently completed a medical accreditation cycle and rolled out new programming including pet visitation and mentoring (an All‑Star Ads mentoring program tied to reentry preparation). Staffing remains a focus; the sheriff said many positions were filled and several officers were in training, but retirements and overseas deployments continue to affect headcount.
On emergency planning, the sheriff described work on an active‑shooter aftermath binder for rural schools that includes maps and reunification sites and stressed that the work aims to plan for reunification and media handling as much as the immediate emergency response.
The board thanked the sheriff for the presentation and noted appreciation for the training and community engagement efforts.
