Saint Francis clerk treasurer announces retirement; council moves to closed session for city administrator evaluation

City Clerk Treasurer Anne announced her intent to retire effective May 31, 2026, delivering a reflection on her career in the clerk's office and thanking colleagues. Speaking to the council, Anne said she has served since 1992 and that ‘‘it is with a full heart and mixed emotions that I submit my letter of intent to retire effective 05/31/2026.’'

Her remarks included expressions of gratitude for colleagues in the clerk's office (Rebecca Gagnon, Kelly Fisler and Jamie Kenyon were named) and for working relationships with city administrators and council members. Council members responded with congratulations.

Later in the meeting, Paul told the council he had provided signed copies of a settlement agreement between the City of Saint Francis and BRI 1, LLC and Derek and Rebecca Diesland to the mayor, clerk/treasurer and city administrator.

Near the end of the open meeting the council moved, seconded and voted by roll call to convene into closed session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee, specifying the city administrator performance evaluation. The motion to go into closed session was made and seconded and the roll‑call votes were recorded as 'Aye.'
