The Kuna City Council voted to approve a series of municipal annexation and zoning ordinances and waived the required three readings for each, carrying out the formal annexations and zoning assignments for several Ada County parcels.
The council approved ordinance 2025-16a to annex Ada County parcel S2005336002 (owners Brian T. Story and Alexa L. Story). Nathan polled the council and Council member McPherson, Council member Biggs, Council member Leroy and Council President Bruce each answered "Yes," and the motion carried.
Council also approved ordinance 2025-04a (parcel S200611005, owner Daniel Isbell); ordinance 2025-17a (parcel S1302233715) to revert certain city property back to unincorporated Ada County; ordinance 2025-10a (parcel S1310336400, owners Steven and Charlene J. Wiscome); ordinance 2025-03a (parcel R7321001020, Kuna Road Fire District); and ordinance 2025-23a (parcel R5070502020, Misty and Noel Hutton). For the Hutton parcel, staff and the council explained the Idaho State Tax Commission had required a minor map correction and that the legal descriptions in the ordinances themselves had not changed.
Several council members noted these items needed to be completed before the end of the year to avoid administrative complications. In each case the council moved to waive three readings, then moved to approve the ordinance; Nathan polled members and the recorded responses were "Yes," after which the motions carried.
The ordinances direct the city engineer and city clerk to file required copies and provide effective dates as set in each ordinance. No amendments to zoning designations were described in the meeting record beyond the standard establishment of zoning classifications upon annexation.
What happens next: The ordinances will be processed by the city engineer and city clerk as directed in each ordinance; one item (Hutton parcel) was noted as coming forward due to a map correction requested by the Idaho State Tax Commission.
