The planned MET portal changes will allow system administrators to view compliance status and submit MET forms directly, reducing staff processing time.
Executive Director Amy Cardona provided three quick updates: PRB staff attended the Telfer conference in October (Abilene) where actuarial panels and trustee questions highlighted concerns about contribution and benefit changes; the State Auditor's Office efficiency audit (required by HB 12) is underway with a projected publication in Feb. 2026; and the FY26 first‑quarter operating budget was presented along with the one‑time IT funding status.
Cardona said the audit process includes a management‑response opportunity and staff will prepare any necessary responses before publication. Rendon said changes are being tested in a non‑production environment and will be rolled into the live system after internal testing and staff review.
