Summary
CareerTech's United Way campaign raised roughly $17,000 in Payne County through events including a chili cook-off and live and silent auctions; the agency emphasized volunteer engagement and community-building through its annual campaign.
Russell Ray presented CareerTech's annual United Way campaign results to the state board, saying the agency raised about $17,000 this year in Payne County through volunteer-driven events.
"We're around, dollars 17,000 in funds we raised this year," Ray said, describing activities such as a chili cook-off, a live auction and a silent auction. He reported roughly $4,000 raised from the live auction and about $4,000 from the silent auction. Ray said CareerTech has run a United Way campaign for 40 years and that employee and retiree contributions, as well as agency events, make the campaign a cultural fixture.
The board and staff noted the campaign's team-building value and thanked employees for participation. A short recap video and a light "minute to win it" competition shown during the presentation underscored the agency's internal engagement emphasis. No board action was required on the report.
