Bolton Finance Committee elects Ross Lally chair, approves minutes and schedules capital workshops

The Bolton Finance Committee elected Ross Lally as chair and Tyler Egnor as vice chair and approved minutes from its Oct. 16 and Nov. 20 meetings, the committee confirmed at its meeting.
Members nominated candidates from the floor and voted; the election "carries unanimously by those voting members present," the chair said after the vote. A minor correction — clarifying language about a projected 17% insurance increase in the board of education update — was added before the Nov. 20 minutes were approved.
The committee also unanimously approved two capital-plan workshop dates for Jan. 13 and Jan. 20 at 7:00 a.m., to review five-year capital projects and department requests. The workshops will be posted publicly and the committee asked members to review calendars before the next meeting so quorum and scheduling conflicts can be resolved.
The committee adjourned after completing its scheduled business.
