Council accepts two resignations and appoints Jan Lawrence to two committees

Hebron Town Council accepted resignations from the Douglas Library Board of Trustees and the Open Space Land Acquisition Committee and appointed Jan Lawrence to the Open Space Land Acquisition Committee and to the Water Pollution Control Authority (term through Dec. 2027).
At its Dec. 18 meeting the Hebron Town Council accepted the resignation of Margaret Clifton from the Douglas Library Board of Trustees and accepted Keith Pettit's resignation from the Open Space Land Acquisition Committee. Both resignations were accepted by motion and unanimous vote.
The council appointed Jan Lawrence to the Open Space Land Acquisition Committee and separately appointed him to the Water Pollution Control Authority for a term running through December 2027. Those appointments were moved and approved by unanimous roll call. Council members noted the WPCA appointment comes at a "pivotal time" for the authority and said council and finance oversight is important for taxpayers and service delivery.
The council recorded the votes in roll call for the resignations and appointments; the items were approved without amendment.
