Board approves consent agenda, textbooks, Chromebook buyout and athletic design contracts, all by unanimous votes

On purchases, the board approved the superintendent's recommendation to buy United States: Modern Times (McGraw Hill, 2023) high-school U.S. History textbooks for $107,000 from the general fund. "I move that the Board of Education approve the purchase of US History High School textbook... in the amount of a $107,000 from the general fund," said Mister Sigler; the motion carried 7–0.
The board also approved an end-of-lease buyout of 4,000 Chromebooks for elementary schools for $184,431.82, funded through the sinking fund. The devices were described as currently deployed and in good condition. Mrs. West moved the buyout and the motion carried 7–0.
Finally, the board approved entering a standard agreement with Foresight Design for design services for Walled Lake Western High School tennis courts, baseball and softball field improvements — including resurfacing, new turf, drainage, fencing and backstops — in the amount of $55,700 from the sinking fund. Mrs. Crafton moved the item and the motion carried 7–0.
No motions failed and no roll-call names opposing votes were recorded; each formal action was approved by unanimous voice vote.
