Board of Psychology re-elects Leah Tate as president; Chakonda Rogers chosen as vice president

The California Board of Psychology elected Dr. Leah Tate as president and Dr. Chakonda Rogers as vice president at its Nov. 7, 2025 meeting in Riverside.

Dr. Kasuga nominated Dr. Tate for a second term as president; the nomination was seconded and, after a roll call, the board announced the motion passed. Earlier in the meeting legal counsel noted Dr. Rogers had apologized for an unexpected absence but had indicated she would accept a nomination if one were made. Dr. Kosuga nominated Dr. Rogers for vice president; that motion was seconded and approved by roll call.

The elections were conducted under agenda item 24. No public commenters on the record objected to the nominations during the brief public‑comment period for the vote and board members said there were no additional comments before each roll call. The board chair said staff would update the roster and proceed with the remaining agenda items.
